Where are my save and log files?

Hey there, fellow detectives!

If you've any issues with the game, we'll usually ask you to send your log and save files along. This post is a handy guide on where to find those.

1 - where to send them.
Please email the files to: techgremlins {at} spookydoorway {dot} com
Make sure your subject line mentions the issue and the platform (ie, Switch, PC steam, MAC DRM-free, etc) and go into more detail in the body

2 - log files.
Depending what OS you're on your log files are in different places:

- Mac: ~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log
- Windows: In steam, right click on the game, go to properties, browse local files, there will be a folder called theDarsideDetective_Data, in there you'll find a file called output.log
- Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective/Player.log

3 - save files.
Again, depends on your OS. If you're unsure what files to send, send them all.

- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective
- Windows: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\LocalLow\Spooky Doorway\The Darkside Detective
- Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Spooky Doorway/The Darkside Detective

Once they get all this info, our tech gremlins will try to fix your issue as quickly as possible!
